The scholarship was begun by Mr. and Mrs. Franco Cutrupia in 2012. Students from mainland China are eligible. The scholarship is specifically targeted to address the needs of students with financial difficulties from minority and remote mountainous regions. The terms for Mr. and Mrs. Cutrupia Scholarship for Mainland Students are as follows:

  2. Presently enrolled as full-time studentsof UIC;

  3. Abided by constitution and lawas well as rules for college students and school regulations;

  4. Achieved a yearly CGPA above 3.0;

  5. Actively participated in school recreational and sport activities, social activities, and public benefit activities that show a concern for collective and collective honor;

  6. Evidenced financial difficulties;

  7. Demonstrated physical and psychological health.

  9. Applicants submit the required formsas mentioned above and the personal statement to the Four Point Education Office;

  10. Applicants should submit those application forms to the Civil Administration Department of their hometown incity, county or above level, and stamp official seal on the application forms to ascertain their family condition;

  11. In accordance with the above requirements and standards, teachers of Four Point Education Office will interview each applicant and confirm the situation as shown in the application forms. The teachers will confirm financial eligibility and post additional comments after interview and accordingly affix an official seal onto the formal confirmation;

  12. Four Point Education Office provides materials to the UIC Students Financial Aid and Review Committee to review;

  13. Four Point Education Officepresents UIC Student Family Financial Hardship Assessment Application Form, UIC Student Family Financial Hardship Investigation Form and Division Assessment of Family Financial Difficulties Students Summary Statement which are eligible during the review to UIC Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee for approval;

  14. Publicize awards list and hold award ceremony.
